    What situation are we wearing dentures ?

    • Loss / tooth extraction : A single missing tooth can cause migration or premature wear of the other teeth, gum problems and poor aesthetics, digestive disorders due to insufficient mastication… To overcome these problems, your dentist will suggest you to wear a denture
    • very damaged teeth : When damage to the teeth (caries) are too important, when the tooth had to be devitalized, your dentist offer you several types of prostheses to restore your teeth.

    What are the different types of dentures ?

    Among the fixed dentures, the existe :
    • The prosthetic crown : When a tooth is damaged, the crown is designed to recover and restore the tooth by building on its root. It can be in metal, precious metal or ceramic.
    • The dental bridge : A bridge can replace several missing teeth. It is anchored to a solid tooth to another solid tooth and fills the empty space. For the latter to be secured, it is sometimes necessary to devitalized and reduced volume of the teeth on which it is based.
    • The onlay : it aims to restore a very damaged tooth, often by a large cavity. It is made from an impression, to adapt perfectly to the contours of the tooth.
    • Dental veneer : Used on healthy teeth with unsightly (broken teeth, yellows…) facets stick on the visible side of the teeth to give them a beautiful appearance.
    Among removable dentures, the existe :
    • The partial denture : it aims to replace several missing teeth. Its structure is metal and it has hooks that attach themselves to the teeth present in the mouth. It can be removed and cleaned.
    • The denture (or "false teeth") : composed of resin, it aims to replace all teeth.
